last year, at this time, vibha and i were stressed to the max. practicing 8+ hours a day, eating bowls of oatmeal with sides of brocolli- yuck. Last year at this time we were waiting for our guru to join us in phoenix, waiting for her to come sprinkle magic dancing dust to transform us from awkward teenagers into women she could be proud of. last year, at this time, we sat nervously counting the incoming invitations realizing that the hall we booked may not be large enough. Last year at this time, i could fit into my dance costumes :). last year, at this time, i had no time to write though i had plenty to write about. last year, at this time, we were completely drenched in sweat and love for an artform that had morphed from a hobby to a way of life.

last year, at this time, i think i would have liked to know then what i know now....and act on it.

Charismatic, delicate and graceful- truly my better half. our friendship is one of smiles, tears, hugs and random- corny- jokes ;) I'm not entirely sure how we became friends or really when we did, but it happened, and now i have a sister (a twin!), a best friend, a confidante, a dance partner for stage and for life... i am blessed.
